Some things I enjoyed in 2010

I don’t buy enough music to do a real ‘top 10 albums’ list for the year, so I’ll just call this list what it is, my favorites from what I heard and watched this year.In the spring, I absolutely wore out the South Memphis String Band’s album, Home Sweet Home .  I remember many spring afternoons with the doors and windows of my apartment open and Jimbo, Luther, and Alvin strumming and serenading. For the second half of the year, I…See More

Daniel, thanks for joining Gram Parsons Project Board. And I will fulfill my promise to myself to one day visit Oxford, MS, home of my no. 1: ol' Bill Faulkner (and try to hit Waycross at the same time!).

Hi Daniel,
I listened to about 5 of these songs, and I find a mixed bag, honestly, I guess my tastes just are not in the vibe of whatever, but I would not buy a DVD of some of these for the price you are asking, but I am not familiar with these artists , a couple of songs really took me away, the hall has some good acoustics and it's a bare bones job, like making a you tube video, I can't see playing a DVD of it in my hi end stereo any different. But, on the other hand, it is a fresh idea, you get music and video at the same time, I see some of the same folk in different videos, so I'm a bit confused at what's what. I liked "Mayhem 88", There are some good songs there, and there is one group that has a great electrivc guitar player, just some thoghts, am not going to throw anybody under the bus, I'll check out the samples @ Amazon.
Best
Jim
