Welcome To Craig Cummings' Music Page on No Depression

Craig’s latest release is a 6-song EP titled Whispering Low. He refers to it as a summer road trip soundtrack. Whispering Low is a radio-friendly collection of contemporary country/Americana music. Craig’s debut CD, Road Trips and Relationships, was released in 2009.

Craig’s music allows listeners to share the experiences of a Baltimore-born singer-songwriter who has never cared to forsake his mid-Atlantic roots for the opportunities that might have been provided by other venues in other places. Nashville and Austin call his name in the night, but Baltimore owns his heart.

Craig Cummings replied to Randy Brown's discussion 'You Are Given Your Own Radio Show; What Are The First Ten Songs You Would Play?'

Craig Cummings commented on Autopsy IV's blog post 'Jason Isbell vs. Dierks Bentley: Coincidence Or Theivery?'
Well, I know the song In a Razor Town well, having listened to it plenty. So then I listened to Home. All I can say is that Jason has nothing to worry about. There may be some similarities, but Jason Isbell' song shines while the Dierks Bentley…

I've got to get a copy of Strangers Almanac remastered. I have the original version and I have always loved it. Gotta see if I like the updated version even more.

Here's a song from my recent CD, Road Trips and Relationships that I love to share with people. I wrote this song after returning from a brief trip to Tallahassee and falling in love with the place. 08 Tallahassee.mp3

A virtual open mic- this is a place for people to upload original tracks to share with others...willingness to listen and respond to what ya like is polite. recordings can be low-fi, hi-fi, or just weird.See More

Craig Cummings replied to Joe Rodrigue's discussion 'Hi...Facing a Dilemma!!! Would love to get everyone else's opinion!!!!'
I download music from iTunes and Amazon and I buy CDs. I usually download music of artists I can't easily find in local music stores - which seems to be more and more all the time. The demise of the local music store - now that is another…

Steve Earle - Washington Square Serenade...I now that many people thourght this CD was a bit below par for Steve, but I really never get tired of listening to this. From Tennessee Blues to Down in the Hole, every song is a winner. "...redhead…

Craig Cummings commented on Scott Porad's blog post 'How I Hear It: Sky Blue Sky'
Sky Blue Sky was one of the best releases of 2007 and the power of that recording is evidenced by the fact that we are blogging about it in the middle of 2009 - talking about the songs with the enthusiasm usually reserved for newly discovered…

Craig Cummings commented on No Depression's blog post 'No Depression Festival Lineup Announcement'
I think an east coast version of this festival would be terrific. Maintain the same headliners and add some east coast/mid-Atlantic artists to replace the locals in Seattle that will be performing. I also like Easy Ed's podcast idea.

Craig Cummings replied to The Medicine Show's discussion 'House Concerts are they the savour of acoustic music'
As a performing musician I think house concerts are a terrific concept. I just attended one this past weekend and not only did the listeners love it, but it was clear that the musicians enjoyed themselves. I intend to try and work myself into the…

Craig,

Thanks for the add. I hope you enjoy the songs. I was born and raised in Baltimore and currently live there. I don't see a link to your music on this page. How would i go about hearing it on the internet?

Best,

Paul
