So, I was talkin' to the boys in Truckstop Darlin' from Portland, Or. last week at a show we did together in Seattle. If you're not familiar with these guys, I highly recommend you check 'em out. Truly wonderful. Anyways, I was told, if I have the story straight, that they all happened to meet at a regular jam session / get-together / hoe-down in Portland at a place called the Barn. An awesome debut (of sorts)!
So, last Friday night I played my first solo acoustic gig at the Duvall Tavern in Duvall, Wa. with my good buddy Earl Thunders of Guns of Nevada, and it went off great! It was a lot of fun, the crowd was VERY enthusiastic, and I'm not a name-dropper, but I WILL say that a grammy-award-winning musician of whom I've been a fan since I was a wee lad in middle school was there that night and told me my set was awesome; I'm STILL floating.My band, Bullitt County, is playing at the Shanty Tavern in…See More
