Common Folk Music is a blog about music, not just folk music, but all music ranging from indie to alt-country to bluegrass, because music is for the "Common Folk". And, my mission as sole founder and writer is to provide fair and balanced reviews and artist features to open the door and make the way smoother for independent musicians, as well as, changing America's musical preference one person at a time. For the past couple of days, Damien Jurado's new album, Maraqopa, has been filling my home, car, mind, body and soul. This album is like a drug. When I pushed "play" it entered my bloodstream, warmed my body, heightened my senses, and sent me into an euphoric state. If there was a way to actually shoot up this album, I would.
