Phil Lee takes to the Summertyne Americana Jumpin Hot Stage Gateshead July 24rth 2010

As the trees turn to copper and our summer memories turn to sepia, I though it might be nice to share some summer festival memories, Ive just posted a video log of one of my festival moments this year at Summertyne Festival Gateshead, http://www.nodepression.com/profiles/blogs/summertyne-americana-fes... hard to Summertyne for top class free music setting and facilities, it really is so well organised and friendly, would be interested to hear what your favourite 2010 Festivals high spots are of 2010.

Seeing The Avett Brothers at Glastonbury made me very happy :) Also Richard Thomson ,outstanding.....
My best fest moment was daughter Holly on drums and myself on bass with Phil Lee and Eric Brace at Truckfest, Bob Harris Stage. Also blowing harp with Fash and brother Rob at Belledrum Potting Shed.

Seeing Bob Dylan at the Hop Farm Festival did it for me and of course Seasick Steve.
Perhaps unbeliveably, seeing The Men They Couldn't Hang at Wickham in August. They've still got it, and with Bobby Valentino back on fiddle.

That and The Lucky Strikes hosting their own stage at Leigh Folk Festival.
Live in Leigh and for some stupid reason didn't get to the Festival. Promise myself to do better next year.

That whole weekend at Gateshead was brilliant - but discovering the Grass Mountain Hobos has to be a highlight - they made Bluegrass palatable, which is some achievement! :)
