Might be tempted up to Liverpool if it's a "solo" gig, big fan of Mr Escovedo's music.
Thanks for the heads up on this - ticket duly booked. I'd been wondering if he was going to be support for the Mott The Hoople reunion shows in the Autumn but didn't want to shell out for a ticket on the off chance. Not a big fan of the venue to be honest. Saw Neko there last month and had to stand on the ledge around the side to get a decent view.
Alexandro's Velvet Guitars was the first ever song played on the Medicine Show, 600 miles from us though.

He is touring though. Liverpool is announced already, maybe more
Damn - he's playing when I'm in Ireland..!!
STOP PRESS!! Alejandro is playing an intimate date at the Maze in Nottingham on Wednesday 29th April - here's the link - Cosmic American site

Got my tickets...!!
He is also playing the Barbican on April 28 as part of the Latin Music Festival; the evening's called Spanish Bombs - A Latin Tribute to The Clash. Amparo Sanchez is also playing; her band used to do a version of Police On My Back.

I just re-arranged a trip to Poland to be back for the Bush Hall gig so now I miss this and Melbourne Indie poppers The Motifs at the Betsy Trotwood in Farringdon Road the night after. Life can be cruel :(
Now Playing (np:)

My current favorite Alejandro song, from Down To The Promised Land: 5 Years Of Bloodshot Records, the duet with Jon Langford of Mick Jagger's Evening Gown.

That's a great version - and a great compilation too. I love Robbie Fulks' "Bloodshot's turning Five" on there.
