Not sure if this is an appropriate posting. I'm thinning out my vinyl collection-Does anyone have any recommendations form past experience for which of the several stores may give the fairest price or is easy to work with? I'm not expecting a lot, but for the occasional record that may have some value is there a place that looks carefully and might give you a fair price? thanks, cbud
I sold some albums to Bop Street records in Ballard a couple years ago, but didn't do any comparison shopping to see if I could have got more elsewhere.
I know that both Sonic Boom and Easy Street are wanting vinyl. That is the part of their business that is growing so it's in increasing demand.

Thanks Kyla! Off hand, I can think of Georgetown records, E and M, Jive Time in Fremont, Silver platters--and forgot about Bop Street--and good to know about Sonic Boom and vinyl.
Just wondering if there is a difference in how they determine prices. I sold books a few years ago at Seattle book stores and there were differences, such as some were more selective but paid a lot more.
I'm not sure how they each determine the price but if you have some good stuff it's probably worth calling around and finding out before you schlep them all over town. Also, knowing that you have valuable stuff, and making sure they know that you know your records are worth something helps. Might be a good idea to check around and see what the going price is for some of yours so you can ask for more when you sell them if necessary.
