This one is rather self explanatory. When The Night Was Young

I don't know about anyone else, but there are times I ask myself if I am just fooling myself. Feeling more upbeat about my music today so here goes.

This tune I'm working on...along with 4 hours worth of others...Is about a relationship at work that needs to be kept hush hush. A nod to Joni Mitchell for the "Court and Spark" reference.

Survived my youth growing up behind the Orange Curtain. I was inspired to write "johnny Joined Up" for Ronald Reagan during the Contra War. Survived Mourning in America. Dusted it off and recorded this version after W. invaded Iraq.

Hello - love this group!  What a great idea.  Lovely to connect with other songwriters and singers.  I'm a UK based singer/songwriter.  I released my debut album in June. A rootsy and soulful collection of mostly my original songs.  It's Lizz Wright meets Amos Lee and Eric Bibb.  Listen to clips via my page or website (http://www.melissa-james.com)  And here's a live recorded performance taken from my special at home concert ahead of my album launch party: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SRgXWNxZLY&feature=plcp  Look forward to hearing some of your work too.  Please say hi!
