Wish I could have made it to No Depression's festival in Washington last weekend, Alejandro Escovedo and everyone, it must have been wicked! I havent seen Al in years & I really miss seeing him.

What have you guyz been up to and how is our Jason doing these days? We have been camping up a storm, delightful weather.

Cheers, all y'all!

Haven't been out to too many shows this year ... combination of a daughter getting married in late August and my wife having neurosurgery in October (she's healing nicely) ... lots of new music skidding in over the transom ... new artists I find myself excited by include Zoe Muth and her Lost High Rollers, Leslie Stevens and the Badgers, and many more plus people from the past that I've caught up with again such as Bryan Leckie of Owen Sound (used to lead the Human Remains ... now he presides over the Krueger Band) and Kris McKay and Michael Hall (formerly of the Wild Seeds). Plus Nathan Bell (Bell & Shore) is back after over a decade's absence from the music scene. Hoping to catch NQ Arbuckle at the Legendary Horseshoe on Dec 2nd (he's headlining there for the first time ever, it's said).

Alejandro Escovedo is on Austin City Limits this weekend, and the show should be up on the ACL web site soon if you've missed it.

Heads up to Steve Earle fans in Western Canada: he seems to be doing, this time around, some small venues on his trek through Western Canada - the Living Sky Casino in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, for example. So tix will likely go quick.

Really looking forward to seeing Steve in a lovely theatre and his Dukes!  Never miss him, always happy with what he brings to us.
