I'll start the ball. My favorite Arizona music festival is the Live Music Festival at Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park in Superior. Why? Prettiest outdoor venue in the state, acts do not compete…Continue

Lots of great shows coming to the Phoenix area in the next couple of months.  Robert Earl Keen, and JD McPherson at The Crescent Ballroom.  Dave Alvin and James McMurtry at The Rhythm Room.

Hello,

Houston Jones is a high-octane Americana quintet from the San Francisco Bay Area who perform original folk, bluegrass, blues and gospel. They'll be performing for the Dave Chambers Ghost Ranch Concert Series at the  London Bridge Resort on Friday, May 4th. Hope you all can come to the show.

Hello Alfred,

If you are looking for good roots music, I invite you to listen to Electric Lotus Label artists on htttp://www.electriclotuslabel.com.

It is an indie label recently created focused on roots music.

Check out AmeriCamera, Voodoo Swing and Pat Roberts & the Heymakers. the 3 bands have just released an album. A little more exposure would be helpful indeed. Le me know what you think.

I personally will also release an album by the end of the year.

Hi Folks

Several of you know that I support "non-star" artists and bands whenever I can. I have just added a banner rotator to the Radio Marlab web site. Any artist/band who wants free exposure here in Denmark is welcome to contact me.

Cheers

Hey there Arizona, I figured I'd join this group because I'm moving to Flagstaff from Nashville in january. I play americana music, and can't wait to see the west! How's everyone doin?

I dont make it out to a lot of festivals, being a poor starving student and all. I would say that any festival that has a good lineup of local/regional artists would be a great time; however, the best festivals, also following my favorite, would be any festival where there is a performance by Jim Pipkin.

I agree on the Prescott festival. Nice to do a well-organized and relaxed festival with NO "STARS." You also hear some amazing music there too from just plain folks who come out for it purely to pick and grin all over the grounds.
