Al,

Looks like a good fest schedule. We'll have more friends and group members soon I hope. I think its nice to have a little space for Americana Fans in our region.

I love me some Fiddler's Gathering; it's where I first crushed on Alison Krauss, who, by the way, is a dead ringer for an old ex-girlfriend of mine, maybe a coincidence, heh. I fondly recall many nights of pickin' 'til the mornin' mist rose, then slippin' away like the Prophet's ghost. You'll find me there any year I ain't on the road, with a hip flask and a grin wider than my face. :D
The May Bluegrass Gospel Jam is May 21st, Thursday night from 630pm to 9 pm at the Hillside Missionary Church Gymnasium, 21567 West Ireland Road, South Bend, Indiana - always a good time!

The Niles Bluegrass Festival June 4th thru the 7th will be a nice one, with more open mike and jamming this year!

Memorial Day weekend is the Kendaville, IN - Tri State Bluegras Festival with more details at this site: www.bluegrassusa.net

and of course, thats just the beginning of a great summer! Where you all goin to be?
It will be quite a busy summer for us. So far, I (we) Pickles will be playing @ Niles (MI) Summer Concert Series, Ann Arbor Summer Festival (MI), Elkhart County Fair (IN), Dowagiac Fun Fest (MI), Sunshine Daydreams Jerry Garcia Birthday Bash in (OH), Six Flags over Illinios, Ship and Shore Festival New Buffalo (MI), Jug Band Jubilee (KY), and more...

We are still looking/booking gigs and hope to fill up our summer.

I'm in for the Niles Bluegrass Festival - that much is certain. I'd love to make Wheatland this year, but I'm always trying to pack too much into that time of the summer.
What is this Ship and Shore Festival you speak of in New Buffalo, D?

Here's to hoping you guys have a fun & jam packed summer of song and sun! I plan to see you around!
Candice,

Its a cute little hometown festival in New Buffalo. We will be playing our "Family Friendly" music and having a good tim wid all the kiddies.

What will I be attending? That's a tough question right now...I'd like to go to Niles and Wheatland both, but I'm not sure. I just found out that a friend of mine lives in Newport, R.I., so the Newport Folk Festival is a serious possibility. And does anyone know anything about Dunegrass this year?
Hi John,

I think Dunegrass called it quits after last year's problem. It is a shame. We had a great time!

DD
Actually, Newport is definitely on...got my tickets about a week and a half ago. Very excited about it as there are lots of folks there I want to see...
We'll be PLAYING the Saugatuck Green Food Bluegrass Festival July 18

Might attend Wheatland as we haven't been there for a few years.
Had to lay low this spring/summer. Worked on RELIX: The Book, The Grateful Dead Experience for a solid ten months, then popped out our new CD, State of Mind...just settling down and getting ready for next spring and summer. But...
