The show at the Vic was really great! They packed in a ton of songs, starting with the "Tomorrow the Green Grass" album as promised. They closed the night out with Tim O'Reagan's "Tampa to Tulsa" and I must say, it may have been the highlight of the evening. Truly awesome.

Saw them last week in Toronto and met up with some other fans (from the Jayhawks Fan Forum) ... they played mostly material from HTH and TTGG but also a couple from their first (Bunkhouse) record and Victoria Williams's "Lights" ... plus they played a couple of new songs from the new album they finished recording a few weeks back ... all told they played for around two hours and performed 23 songs in all.

We'll be at the Sunday show at First Ave. in Mpls. Second of two shows in the hometown. Should be good!

listening to the recent World Cafe broadcast of the Jayhawks, i noticed how great Gary Louris and Karen Grotberg sound singing together. i wish they would do a record together!

Scott,
I too was at that show at Antoines. It was a great show.

I only regret that I didn't buy more copies of that live CD recorded in Atlanta to share with friends.

Just saw Louris and Olson at Saturday at Antoine's in Austin. Pinetop Perkins, 95 yr old, piano blues legend opened. They played for almost 2 hours. Nearly all the new album plus the usual old favs + they played Angelina and Walking in Nevada. Gary said a woman in Dallas would come to Austin if he played Angelina (off of Rainy Day Music). Walking in Nevada was the next song and the only Creekdippers song that was played. Payback? Anyway, i love a lot of the Creekdippers and the non-Olson Jayhawks songs so it was great to see a couple. They should mix in some more, IMHO.

They were also selling a great live CD cut very recently. It was basiscally the whole set less the two songs i mentioned. Sound quality is much better than the Women's Club CDs.
