Hi,

my upcoming release (blues + beat) combines existing blues / roots tracks with modern beats.for th promotion I cover hte traditional bleus meida but I'd like to hear your suggestions for media outside the blues / roots scene that could be interested in this music. At my page you find 4 tracks from the coming release.

are there any NARAS voting members in this group? If so, I could use your help! My CD "Images of Women, Vol. 2" ( featuring classic trad. blues and folk songs about women), is on the preliminary nomination list/first ballot for the 2010 Grammy in the “American Roots” field (Field #13) under Category #68: Best Traditional Folk Album.

I am one of only 35 CDs on the list for this category, so I have a 1 in 7 chance of making the final nomination. Not terrible odds.... and it would help so much if you are a voting NARAS member, or know any musicians/engineers/publishers/producers/record labels/etc. whocould cast a vote for my CD. The ballots are due back by Nov. 3rd. so time is of the essence....

Since this is just a numbers game in terms of votes, if you have any other professional colleagues or friends who you think might also be (voting) members of NARAS, would you PLEASE forward them this e-mail? Many members don't bother to vote in this category. They can be publishers, record labels, artists, Producers, and don't necessarily need to be folk-music associated.... Thanks! Robin Greenstein
