Well,
The bus came by and I got on-----,What's going on out in CA this year, Last night I went to archive.org and found these concerts, Friends, This is a virtual goldmine for deadheads, Over 6,000 concerts, I listened to about 3 songs of "Furthur"= Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, John K and drummer from Dark Star Orchestra, plus ratdog drummer Jay Lane.OHHH and Jeff Chimenti, This group sounds like the Grateful Dead. "Pride Of Cucamonga" -This song, not a favorite, but a goodie from The Mars Hotel album, Heh, Did you have the original vinyl?, thick records made by the Deads own company. Great stuff, I had all of em, wish I had em back, but I have a huge collection of DPS ,Vault stuff , just ordered "Rockin At The Rhein" , A multi track, that was from the Europe 72 tour. "Europe 72, turned me on to the Dead, used to listen to it over and over. I say, let John K stay and give Warren Hayes a friendly goodbye, John was playing beyond the "Pride Of Cucomonga, during this jam, they hinted at going into Money, Money, but never went there, The whole bunch were on cruise control, like They had been doin this for years. I say, check it out, maybe one of our members could put a link to that page on archive.org.

dead for life..i'd given up on the thing..but dylan, some new artists..my own evolution..kept bringin me back..couldn't jus leave..since aug '95..we all know what was missin, but ,our part,i couldn't listen to old tapes or think about my various kids without bangin into this..ME..that couldn't move on to..WHAT!!glimmer here ,shine on there ,but ,"it" was no longer there, like romances that cool, kids grow older, ecstatic moments at shows..get put in their place as moments in time..no longer Now,but When..??well now folks..soundz 'r gatherin me in again.i'll be sure to reflect it back, again.these folks..this configuration..who woulda thot the grateful dead could be reborn?whole..complete..well..perha..maybe..(i REALLY like what i've heard of the fox shows..it's the greatful dead)there is a head full of lightning on the ol road to bolinas..with it's twists and turns..and sheer drops..head butts into hillsides..give ya life, take yer sweet breath away..FURTHUR!!
The "Furthur" thing with a tribute Dead guitarist like John K is quite incredible, The Fox shows, like I could not believe what was happening, like, it's back, with Warren Hayes and the core4, plus Chimenti, it was nice, the shows were good, but face it Warren Hayes kept them safgely away from the true sound, he didn't KNOW the Dead like John K does, and they are coming out east to Asbury Park on Dec 12, maybe I can go. These guys sounded too good to have this been their first time together, "Splintered Sunlight", local Dead trubute band brings the vibe well, but this like the real Dead with a guy who sounds quite enough like Jerry and sings better than Haynes. Let us see what happens

According to this:
http://www.furthur.net/
there are sbd recordings available (or to be available) free.
Personally I have a liking for warts and all AUD recordings as it's closer to the excitement of the live experience (generically - not seen Furthur perform). Those on the US E Coast (or at least NJ, NYC, CT) get a chance to see shows in the run-up to Xmas. Blue mo0ns, airborne porkers and icebergs in the underworld before we see them in Europe :(
RP - Please do me a favor, if they offer sbd recordings, I definitely would want a show!!!,let me know
\ Jim
