Country music has Gram to thank for reinvigorating it and broadening its appeal. He extolled its virtues to anyone who would listen and had an open mind. We're all better for having him with us for even such a short time and country owes much of its popularity today to his skill and sensitivity in blending it and making it more accessible to younger musicians in particular and listeners in general.; ▶ Reply to This

You cannot deny the genius of this incredible trail blazer of roots country. He was a comet of talent that burned out far too early. Modern roots would never be what it is today if not for the hand and mind of Gram.I ask you to give him his rightful place in history. He was a musical genius. Long Live Mr Gram Parsons.
