Red Meat began in a Mission District garage in 1993. But they trace their musical roots to the honky tonk songs of their youths as well as the rock music of the 60s and 70s that they grew up with. Throw in the Ozark gospel harmonies from Scott Young's childhood, and you have the basic backbone of the Red Meat sound. Don't miss 'em in the flesh on Friday, April 18 at The Chapel! I See Hawks In LA is opening - it's going to be a fantastic night of music! You can grab tickets here:

Any of you East Bay Dwellers who long for a little Americana in their East Bay Grease?

We'll be at the fabulous Empress Theater in Vallego tomorrow night for their excellent Wednesday Night Ramble Series.  $7-9 at the door, 7 PM

Catch us tomorrow on Freight Train Boogie, Americana's coolest radio show with host Bill Frater on KRCB, sometime after 7 PM.  Philbillie and I will be doing some tunes off the new CD "Head of Fire."
