Just wondering when you begin taking the Christmas records down from the shelf. For me personally, I usually wait until Thanksgiving.

Feel free to mention some favorites here are well. I'll get the ball rolling with Joan Baez's Noel, a beautiful collection of somewhat lesser known folk songs with a holiday theme. John Fahey's album is great as well.

I'm not sure about the Christmas music but as far as Christmas trees are concerned, my friends and I like to go around the neighborhood and collect at least 3 or 4, bring them to a buddies backyard party and set them on fire on New Years Eve! Have you ever seen one of those babies go up? WHOOOOSHH!!!!!
You just gave me an idea.
I like to think of it as our "cremation of care" ceremony.
Hey my friends and I do the same thing except we have a all day party o sledding skating outdoor bar food and very very large hot fire on Super Bowl Sunday.
Stop if at all possible at 00:00:01 on 12/26.
I'm happy to never hear a Christmas song from Boxing Day onwards !
Damn it. I forget to deselect the Christmas songs in iTUNES. Does that count for Christmas 2010 or 2011?

In the liturgical calendar, Christmas begins on the 24th and lasts through Epiphany on 1/6... so any songs up until then are for 2010.
