As I was driving down the road the other day with my Ipod on shuffle, Richard Thompson's "Beeswing" came on.  It never fails to bring a tear to my eye.  So much emotion--you can feel the love and longing.  Just a lovely tune.

Some great choices here. Especially "Chalk" by Buddy & Julie Miller. There is just something about that song. It's so honest it hurts. I don't know if anyone has ever written about a failed relationship in quite the way that Buddy does on that tune.

There's just something about the way Ray sings it that really brings out the desperation and desire for surrender expressed in that song.  Or maybe it's just the way his voice crescendos with the violins.  Sometimes that's all it takes.  :)

I was just watching some music videos on You Tube and played Roseanne Cash's "September When It Comes" and just watching J0hnnys life go by on the video,plus knowing he died just shortly after,and Roseanne's lyrics,just made me cry.
