I don't know if anyone has ever written about a failed relationship in quite the way that Buddy does on that tune.

There's just something about the way Ray sings it that really brings out the desperation and desire for surrender expressed in that song. Or maybe it's just the way his voice crescendos with the violins. Sometimes that's all it takes. :)
