What is your favorite cover version of your favorite song?

Just curious what people think?

The one I have been playing a lot lately is Steve Earle's version of the Townes Van Zandt song Marie......what a deep and depressing song that Steve captures perfectly. He actually does that on the entire Townes album but Marie is the one I find the most powerful.
Have you heard the Willie Nelson version of Marie off the Poet tribute? That's probably the most heartwrenching version of it I have heard.
After more thought, Neil Young's Oh Lonesome Me popped into my brain, heard Elvis Costello's What's So Funny About Peace Love & Understanding on the radio way to work this morning. Love that. Joe Ely's cover of The Road Goes on Forever.
Dancin in the Streets by the GD, and Ryan Adams version of Wonderwall, sweeet!
Johnny Cash's cover of The Everly Brother's Sea of Heartbreak. (with able backing by Tom Petty and various Heartbreakers)
I don't know of any covers of my favorite song, "Blue Sky" Allman Bros. Favorite covers period, Hendrix "All Along the Watchtower" and "Hey Joe" . Rickie Lee Jones " Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying". She owns it. Johnny Cash "Hurt". Even Trent Reznor said it was definitive.
Since ND has Joan Baez on the front today, I'm gonna say Judas Priest's Diamonds and Rust.
For me it has to be Jimi Hendrix's cover of Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower. I'm a man of simple tastes.
Cat Power's version of Satisfaction is pretty cool
Shortly after Ray Charles died, I heard Solomon Burke sing "Georgia on my Mind" at a live show here in Baltimore. That was that.
Speaking of Ray Charles one of the country music channels was doing a countdown of the 100 best songs of some sort and he was on there maybe a year or so before he died. The thing I remember most is his version of the Charlie Rich hit "Behind Closed Doors" There wasn't a song Mr. Charles couldn't sing.
Bob Delevante doing "Blitzkreig Bop".

Best.
Cover.
Ever.
