This is a really fine acoustic record, nicely paced and full of twists and turns lyrically.
Permalink Reply by Stina 22 hours ago So unbelievably excited about the upcoming Jason Isbell album. What I've heard so far has been very good but absolutely adore today's release of "Cover Me Up". Very much belted out - a live concert feel. Gotta say that this one looks like it's going to get my album of the year vote and I haven't even heard 85% of it so far.

It is certainly bound to be in the top 3 for me of 2013, the more I listen, the more I like and the more subtleties I pick up on in the production..... it truly is a gem of a recording!
I have never seen him perform live but he will be in my area (and in my favourite venue) in late June and I am doing what I can to work that show into my schedule.
