I'm a fan. Their first 4 albums are being reissued in deluxe 2cd sets , on Monday i believe.Worth investigation for sure !
Permalink Reply by Stina on Friday Still not "into" any one album as I've been busy updating my ipod. That'll come next when I listen to whole albums on my shelf to add "new" songs to my ipod. The main song, however, I've been listening to is Steve Earle's Copperhead Road.
My itunes shows my most two listened to songs as being Jason Isbell songs (the second one tied with a Ryan Adams). Was happy to see him nominated for so many awards.
I may not have been a fan of the album but also happy to see JTE nominated. Believe there was a couple of others I was happy to see but my memory is playing tricks on me this morning.

Excellent CD John! Reminiscent, to me, of the great James McMurtry.
The new Dexys (Midnight Runners) album is pretty amazing.
This week I've been listening to the first 2 CD's and an EP by The Wooden Sky - I'm amazed that I keep finding these great Canadian bands - there must be an inexhaustable supply!
Also:
Dar Williams "In The Time Of Gods"
And the find of the week, "The Fate & The Fruit" by Screen Door Porch. I loved their eponymous 2010 CD and I really have not listened to anything else since I bought the new one. I was quite annoyed that I somehow never got notification that the new CD had been released and it had been out about a month before I found out about it, but the sheer beauty of the CD made me quickly forget about my mad-on. ;-)
Looking forward to the new Alejandro Escovedo and Rhett Miller tomorrow! And I just bought The Honeycutter's first CD "Irene" which I am going to listen to right now!
