Doesn't have to be a great revelation. Doesn't have to change the year in music. Could be old. Could be new. Just has to do it for this week. So what is doing it for you this week?

WOW! I just checked out " Gin, Smoke, and Lies" I have never heard of this group before, I AM ALL OVER THIS STUFF and will have their catalogue ASAP!

thanks for the great lead, Tremendous!

"Just A Little Lovin" - Shelby Lynne -SACD

The Neville Brothers - Yellow Moon

Joe Ely - Live At Antones

Sunken Condos-Donald Fagan

Listening to alot of Jason Isbell - especially my favourite song by anyone at the moment "Cigarettes and Wine". Repeat. Repeat. Repeat again. :)

Preordered the new live Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit album last night. Couldn't decide between CD and LP. LP won considering it comes with the mp3 version. HAD to get the tshirt and signed poster too... Just HAD to...

Will see Jason and Amanda Shires on Cayamo cruise in January.  Can't wait.

How did it go? Believe I saw on Jason's twitter that it was done?

Kevin Welch - A Patch of Blue Sky

@Donna Shelton - my computer not letting me hit reply... Lucky! Have fun! Do let us know how it goes!

The World Famous Headliners (Al Anderson, Pat McLaughlin and others).

Kevin Bowe and the The Okemah Prophets - Natchez Trace

Favourite records this week have been:

Steve Miller Band - Brave New World

Tame Impala - Lonerism (which is as good as the reviews say it is)

Lanterns On The Lake - Gracious Tide, Take Me Home

Cat Power - Sun

Not very rootsy but a number of more ND-ish discs are somewhere in the global postal system.
