Doesn't have to be a great revelation. Doesn't have to change the year in music. Could be old. Could be new. Just has to do it for this week. So what is doing it for you this week?

There is a review of the Avett Brother's CD, "I and Love and You," at Country Standard Time's website: www.countrystandardtime.come
Daniel Pearson's album 'Satellites'. Great if you're into Lemonheads, Ryan Adams, Elliott Smith-type stuff!
In The Weeds by Bo Ramsey....alt. country/punk at its best
Couldn't agree more! "Down to Bastrop", "Bo Ramsey and the Blacksliders - Live" and "Stranger Blues" are right up there with the best of them, too. Great call on this one, William!
with the weather changing and life slowing down just a bit, i've been enjoying Sting's If On A Winter's Night... a good record for feeling wintery but not being ready for christmas music per say.

oh... just realized... you'll have to wait for the pre-order on that one.
I didn´t know anything about Ozark Mountain Daredevils a few months ago. I´ve been listening "It´ll shine when it shines" and " The car over the lake album". I can´t help but listening to them time and again. Both are great and I suppose the rest of their records are worth listening. I understand much better now how The Skeletons and The Morells came to that place of them.
I've just purchased patty griffin's impossible dream after having children running through for a couple of years. It is simply stunning.
I've become a huge fan of The Unthanks.

Previously called Rachel Unthank and the Winterset they are an English folk group from Northumbria.

I just love the voices.

Any fans?
Love them. Havent picked up 'The Unthanks' but will soon. Not the type of music I generally buy but loved 'The Bairns'.... Their version of Robert Wyatt's Sea Song is excellent.
Without a doubt "Break Up." Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson. Maybe not pure roots, but enough twang to anchor it in my heart

This is one of those didn't like at first listen but keep circling back kinda duet partners for me. I love the idea of it and want to like but haven't so far. Likely time for another listen! :P
Wheat Pool's Hauntario still riding high in the play list but joined this week by the new (psych-folk-pop) album by The Crayon Fields called "All The Pleasures Of The World" http://www.myspace.com/thecrayonfields
