A lot of good stuff coming out in 2011. What are you looking forward to?

I have already heard several albums from 2011 and of them the Wanda Jackson is a masterpiece, Jesse Brewster could be the "next big thing," and Chris Thomas King has one hell of a blues album on the way.

Also looking forward to hearing the new ones from Gregg Allman, the Drive-By Truckers (even though The Big To-Do was disappointing), The Nightwatchman (Tom Morello), Ted Russell Kamp, Amos Lee, and Nick 13's first solo album (should be getting advances of those last three.)

And I'm hoping that Ghost Brothers of Darkland County will finally be released this year. It is a collaboration between John Mellencamp and Stephen King that has been described as "an old time radio play with music" and the two-disc CD, produced by T-Bone Burnett, will feature Mellencamp, Kris Kristofferson, Elvis Costello, Ryan Bingham, Rosanne Cash, Neko Case, Dave and Phil Alvin, and Sheryl Crow.

Ron, as far as concerts go, the only one on my schedule so far is David Allan Coe in January.
Looking forward to Band Of Horses in January .
I'd love to hear classic albums from :
Dave Alvin
American Music Club
Ryan Adams
Chris Knight
Slobberbone
Blue Mountain
The Jayhawks
Son Volt
All of the above have managed at least one classic in the past , C'mon YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN !!!!!!
Band of Horses already have another one coming out?!

But as for your list, yeah, I'm in total agreement.
No ,Adam , i'm seeing em live in Glasgow , Scotland !
Oh. I see. I don't think an album has been released that soon after the last since the heyday of CCR and was getting ready to like them even more for bucking the trend.
Mellencamp's been chucking them out mind you......relatively speaking !
The Jayhawks are recording a new one with their classic 90s line-up ... they're determined not to be just another nostalgia act. Looking forward to it. A new tour is starting shortly with this configuration....
Yeah , but no dates in Europe yet........
This is really good news... they made some great records in their prime.
Adam, I'm up for that Mellencamp/King record, it sounds like an interesting idea and the lineup is first rate. I'd read separately that Dave Alvin was part of this project and that he was recording a duet with his brother, guessing this is why.

Anything new by Dave Alvin is very welcome, I believe I read he intends to have the next record with the Guilty Women out in the first half of next year.
I saw Jason Isbell in concert and he mentioned he was in the studio...I'm hoping that means a 2011 release!
