What are three roots/Americana albums good for a date?

Remember in 'Fast Times at Ridgemont High' when Damone tells Mike Ratner to "whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV" on a date to guarantee some smoochin'? Well, it doesn't work, but I was thinking what are some Americana/roots albums that are perfect for first (or early) dates. Usually jazz or soul are go-to genres for the situation, but what roots music (bands, albums, songs) fits the bill?

1. The Wailin' Jennys-Firecracker
2. Jimmy LaFave-Cimarron Manifesto
3. Storyhill-self titled
4. Justin Townes Earle-Midnight at the Movies
5. Old Crow Medicine Show-self titled
6. Chuck Prophet-Soap & Water
7. Wilco-A.M. or Being There
8. Ryan Adams-Cold Roses
9. Rhett Miller-self titled
10. Neil Young-On the Beach (arguably 'Americana' but damn good nonetheless)

I'd say:

Mark Olson - Salvation Blues
Just about anything by Darden Smith
Lyle Lovett - This Old House
Good choice about Jimmy LaFave. Blue Nightfall would work well, too.
Blue Nightfall... excellent suggestion!

Joe Henry...Scar
Lucinda Williams..World Without Tears
Shelby Lynne..Suit Yourself...The last track "Rainy Night in Georgia" is killer and if the time is right, you go in with your best move..lol
What's a "date" ? ;)

Hank Snr.

Maybe that's where I'm going wrong....
Does Jeff Buckley's "Grace" fit in here? I think that's one of the all-time makeout albums. Most anything by Ryan Adams would work too. But outside of that, I think you've gotta look at chick albums. Christ, has anyone ever made out to Johnny Cash? Or Steve Earle? (Ooo, Steve Earle as a makeout record - thats a buzz kill.) Tift Merritt would be fine, anything by Shelby Lynne or sister Ali would work for me too. Kasey Chambers. Definately stick with the ladies for this category.
I guess I don't consider "Grace" Americana, but definitely one of the all time great albums. An album for romancin'.

Gotta say that I've made out to Steve Earle.
Hey Amilia! Have you heard "Townes" yet?? ;-)
Haven't yet..been in the studio so much, am way behind on my music buying. Can't wait though...
Shannon McNally - Geronimo
Shawn Colvin - A Few Small Repairs
Be Good Tanyas - Chinatown
Tift Merrit - Another Country
Ryan Adams - Easy Tiger
Wow, Ryan Adams seems to be making an appearance on a lot of folks lists! Luckily, he's got plenty of material to pick from.

1. The Jayhawks - Hollywood Town Hall
2. Drive By Truckers - Decoration Day (Though you may want to skip over "The Deeper In" as the whole topic of incest may put your date off. I know from experience that the song makes my wife's skin crawl.)
3. Gram Parsons - Grievous Angel
4. The Grateful Dead - American Beauty (Of their two real "twangy" records, the other being Workingman's Dead, this one is more date friendly.)
5. Reckless Kelly - Wicked Twisted Road
6. Ryan Adams & The Cardinals - Jacksonville City Nights
