Ive been long fascinated by the song lines that took Highland Music to the new world and set it on the trail of its journey through the Appalachians with the dispossessed Drovers who follow the cattle into Texas and became Cowboys, and through the generations across the continent into Country Music history. I love the fact that there has been a home coming welcome here in The Highland from the onset of recorded and broadcast era.

Country music in all its forms is huge in these parts no surprise when you consider that the themes of love, loss, heartache, and home sick blues are alive in both the traditional Scottish music and its off spring.

So in this year of "Home Coming " Ide be interested in any reflections on this theme.

Rob I have nothing astounding to add, but Tartan Heart Fringe looks great, and the artwork is very witty and eye-catching…this journey interests me - are you playing the early recordings you mention at the event? Best wishes,
