I was just in the process of looking for Thanksgiving videos to add to the site and couldn't find much of anything.
What songs about or related to "Thanksgiving" can you think of?

"Did you have to wear that?
I just don't see why.
Please pass the potatoes
Ah, eat shit and die"
and: "how 'bout those Packers?
think it'll snow?"
Go Pack!

Permalink Reply by Jay Minkin on November 21, 2012 at 6:39am There are 27 8× 10 color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one as proof that Thanksgiving traditions include humming a few bars of "Alice's Restaurant".

Permalink Reply by Joe Gorfinkle on November 22, 2012 at 4:07pm Alice's Restaurant.. I went looking as well. Music was frowned on, except for maybe devotional songs in Plymouth Colony AFAIK. It is weird that there are so few.
Permalink Reply by Russ Cobe on November 23, 2012 at 11:20am I just remebered this... a day late for Thanksgiving, but better late than never, right?
Poi Dog Pondering did a song called "Thanksgiving" back in the late 80's or early 90's. It's a little bit depressing, but always makes me think of fall. song on youtube
Permalink Reply by Paul Dubuque on November 24, 2012 at 4:16pm Here's a couple more:
Sarah Vaughan - "Gravy Waltz" (Best of-EMI).
Vince Gauraldi Trio - "Thanksgiving Theme" (Definitive Vince Gauraldi-Fantasy).
Mary Gauthier - "Thanksgiving" (Between Daylight and Dark-Lost Highway).
Yo La Tengo - "Be Thankful for What You Got" (Little Honda EP-Matador).
AFX(Aphex Twin) - "Children Talking" (Hangable Auto Bulb-Warp). This is really a stretch as a Thanksgiving song, but I find it to be rather cheeky electronic music, especially with the repeated voice sampling of "mashed potatoes".
