To mark what would have been Woody Guthrie's 98th birthday yesterday I wrote a post on my blog, Carnival Saloon, featuring Woody Guthrie songs by Bruce Sporingsteen, Bob Dylan and Billy Bragg & Wilco as well as the Tom Russell's song Woodrow. You can hear them all here:

Carnival Saloon: Songs To Woody

So, which other Woody Guthrie covers could I have included? Which are your favourites? What would be on the ultimate Woody Guthrie tribute playlist?

Initially I thought you were referring to songs about Woody. If that were the case Phil Ochs' "Bound for Glory" would have certainly belonged.
Ani Difranco does a really nice "Do Re Mi."

And, yeah, Ochs' "Bound for Glory" is probably the best song I've ever heard as a tribute to Woody. Better than Dylan's "Song to Woody," even, I daresay.
I think Eliza Gilkyson's "Peace Call," lyrics found in the archives, would be one.
