Many people are experiencing difficult times right now. Some of the troubles are, or will be, faced by all of us at one time or another - a parent in declining health, our personal wellness challenges, loss of a loved one. And the economy is causing grief, anquish and hardship for more and more folks each day.
As Tom Johnston once sang, "Music is the doctor." Music can calm, soothe, inspire, lift one's spirits. Help me. What are some songs that inspire and give you hope? Here are some of mine.
Willin' - Little Feat
I Hope You Dance - Lee Ann Womack
From A Distance - Nanci Griffith
To Live's To Fly - Townes Van Zandt
Listen To The Radio - Kathy Mattea

Victoria, 'Be Thou My Vision' is such a beautiful hymn (I grew up hearing and singing it).
Another hymn that gave great comfort to my father was, '(There Is a) Balm in Gilead'.
