I have only ever made two playlists and both of them were made on the occasion of the death of my mother in June of this year.

The first was a five song list made to accompany the photo slide show that my sisters and I had compiled, it is as follows:

The second list was a more lengthy and more diverse selection and was used as background music which was looped over the funeral home sound system during the two days of visitation and it is as follows:

Neither of these lists were easy to create and its even tougher when you have to create them through tear filled eyes but I was more than proud that I was charged with the task....I only hope that I what I put together would have made her smile.

If you want to fit this list on a CD substitute Heartless Bastards' "Down In the Canyon" with their "Parted Ways". I just saw this band at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and was very impressed.
