I HAD this CD. I believe it's still at my brothers in Dallas. I miss it on occasion. I'd recommend it if you like your alt/whatever on the rock n roll side. This band does know how to rock. And now that you've brought it back to my attention, I'll have to try and find another copy. Another worth picking up is their Live CD/DVD combo. Excellent representation of the band's live show.
Yeah the live one got great reviews at All Music Guide :)
YES!!! way worth it, everything from the title track, to the Irish drinking song "Seven Nights in Eire" to "Baby's Got A Whole Lot More" is great!!!

RK is a great band with some of the nicest guys I've ever met.
I highly suggest getting "Under the Table Above the Sun" also!!
Without knowing more about you and your musical tastes it's hard to give a blanket yes or no. However, having said that, I rather like everything Reckless Kelly has done. Wicked Twisted is a great choice, but if you were looking for a single RK jumping in point, I might go with Millican instead. Either way, I do not think you'll be dissapointed.

Another cool thing about Wicked Twisted is that the CD comes with two dice inside the CD case. At least they did when it first came out. Yes, packaging DOES matter.
My tastes are pretty eclectic actuall.
I have WTR and Bulletproof. I also have a live acoustic one that's pretty good. They all are pretty good. WTR has a song called "Wretched Again" that rocks pretty good.

At the risk of offending any artists on board, I would suggest you check out your local library. I have picked up some great stuff there and have been turned on to a lot of artists that I otherwise would not have spent the money to check out in the first place. I actually think I picked up Bulletproof at the library.
Libraries are funded with our taxes and donations. Use them as much as possible. And donate when you can. I've found very large and eclectic collections anywhere I've lived. If I like something ; more often than not; go out and buy it. Musicians would welcome the exposure I would think .
Definitely worth getting. It gets constant rotation on the Ipod. Don't feel guilty, just buy it.
get it get it get it get it get it, I really think you should get it.

I love Reckless Kelly, but prefer "Under the table" and the live CD.
I own Under the Table and RK Was Here. Wicked Twisted has songs I'm familiar with and the reviews are good too.

One might argue that Reckless Kelly is good at a lot of the same things other alternative country bands excel in. They've got the same nice rootsy mix of acoustic-electric instruments, and a scruffy sounding singer to deliver world-weary lyrics. But there's a difference on Wicked Twisted Road, and that's in how the band — guitarist David Abeyta, fiddler Cody Braun, singer Willy Braun, bassist Jimmy McFeeley, and percussionist Jay Nazz — puts it all together. From the get-go, the band shows its ability to deliver songs like the title track and "Dogtown" in the most natural, unaffected manner. The latter unwinds at a nice, lazy pace perfectly suited for Willy's vocal and harmonica solo. In other words, Reckless Kelly never gives one the impression that it's striking an alternative country pose consisting of one part talent and two parts attitude. The band also knows how to stretch itself stylistically. "Seven Nights in Eire" offers a surprising mix of Celtic and country and blending fiddles and steel guitar, while "Sixgun" offers brash, country-rock. If Wicked Twisted Road is a tale of life and love on the road, then Reckless Kelly has told it well. Fans will appreciate the solid effort, while everyone else — who's never quite gotten around to checking out the band — will find it a nice introduction.
This is actually my favorite studio album of theirs. I bought it on a whim and fell in love. It was my gateway into the rest of their albums.
