I've been getting into this music more and more, and I would sure like to have a radio station to listen to. For example, iTunes lists dozens of stations, but I'm not sure which is appropriate.

Can anybody suggest a station I can find online, so that I can listen at work?

Hey Jeff - from one Boudreau to another, I will try to catch the show - sounds great. See my additional post below.
You're welcome. I host "in the tradition" on WCUW, Tuesdays 5-8pm eastern, but recommended "Crosstracks" for its Americana content.

Try any of the fine stations that participate in the FolkDJ list.

Maybe there is a similar listserve for Americana programs?
My brother and I host an Americana, Alt-Country, Roots show called "Tangled Roots" on 91.7 WHUS in Storrs, CT on Saturday nights, 8 - 10. You can also stream it at www.whug.org. Listen when you can - I think you will enjoy it!
Added to the NEFolknRoots calendar.

Boot Liquor Radio
Jango is great, also try Jivewired.com out of Chicago. You can put together a station with the music you like, but there are also rootsy little radio shows a few times a day with real DJ's. My friend David has a show called Mixtape Jones. Tuesdays, 8pm central. http://jivepk.jivewired.com/events/mixtapejones
it's on Live365, which has thousands of build it yourself stations.
First go to www.warpradio.com Then type in WWHP/FarmerCity,IL. This is a little independent radio station thats been supplying us with good Americana music for 10 years now. Mondays are Blues, Tuesdays are T for Texas T for Tennesee, and Fridays at Noon is Lunchtime Laughs. Its the middle of corn country but they play a broad mix. Hope you check them out!
