I listen to most music. I love underground hip hop, blues, 50's rock everything except mainstream rap and mainstream new country toby keith, tim mcgraw etc.. I hate it. Old Crow got me into this music I can not stop listening to Old Crow, The Felice Brothers, Hank 3, Trampled By Turtles, Gillian Welch and the nitty gritty dirt band. Any other suggestions for me to listen to?

Just keep reading the blog here and checking out some of the videos and I'm sure you'll come across some great artists. Off the top of my head, try out some Drive-By Truckers and Steve Earle.
Whiskeytown : strangers almanac
Ryan Adams : heartbreaker
Dave Alvin : blackjack david
The Jayhawks ; hollywood town hall
Uncle Tupelo : march 1992
Steve Earle : el corazon

A few of THE BASICS, essential albums in the genre, every one a classic.........
there's a few hundred more , hope you got plenty money, but it's worth it !
Emmylou Harris.
Townes Van Zandt
Yes!! Great one.
I love townes van zandt and being from minnesota I also love the jayhawks I appreciate all the suggestions. Townes Van Zants "none but the rain "is the song that got me into him I saw that documentrary on him a few months ago and loved it.

Minneapolis is a great place for Americana-ish music.

In addition to Jayhawks... there is Mason Jennings and another really new band called American Revival, both can be found through a simple facebook or iTunes search. Or www.reverbnation.com/americanrevival
