Mother's Day Songs
I was thinking about making a mix CD for my mom for Mother's Day--you guys know any good, heartwarming songs about mothers?

"Mama Tried" - Merle Haggard
"Precious Memories" - The Blasters on their 4-11-44 disc (this is a cover, Johnny Paycheck also recorded it,not sure who the songwriters were). I think Paycheck's version was called "I'm The Only Hell (My Mama Ever Raised)".
Neither are heartwarming, both are about kids who done wrong despite mama's best efforts. I played both for my 80 year old mom - I was not a trouble maker, just a pain in the ass when younger - and she really enjoyed both songs.
