Star Anna and the Laughing Dogs - The Only Thing That MattersAlright, since our first two listening club picks were pretty much classics - albums that have been out for a while - this week we'll turn on something new and different. One of the fine Seattleite singer-songwriters taking the stage at the No Depression Festival is Star Anna. Along with her band the Laughing Dogs, she self-released a CD this spring titled The Only Thing That Matters. Pick it up or download it from Amazon (or whichever digital store you prefer), spin it a few times, and then share your thoughts below.

This is one of my favorite records so far this year. Here is video of Star performing her ND cover song of choice as a part of the all star revue at the No Depression festival.
