Reading the forums and blogs here is giving me odd nostalgia for magazines I used to get years ago.

Years ago I used to subscribe to the Journal of Country Music which I remember as sometimes being quite worth the subscription price, but I let my subscription lapse for a variety of reasons not necessarily as important today.

Any one get it ,or read it, nowadays? Is it worth reading and subscribing to today?

On that note, what music magazines (of the smaller circle of print magazines out there) do folks currently read and like? I'd definitely include the small music-zines as worth mentioning if they are worth reading.

I sent in a subscription check for the Journal of Country Music a couple years ago and they never cashed it. We figured that we travel to Nashville frequently enough that we could just pick up the current issue at the CMHOF store during our visits. IIRC, they haven't had a new issue in quite some while.

It is (was?) a very good read.
