Sweetheart of The Rodeo no doubt ,Desperado and POCO Deliverin
The Dead's American Beauty rose.
Here's one of my all time favorites. The covered was censored so only some versions have the cover with the girls on it. This from Wikipedia:

The cover features two scantily-clad models, Constanze Karoli (reportedly the sister of Can's Michael Karoli) and Eveline Grunwald. Bryan Ferry met them in Portugal and persuaded them to do the photo shoot as well as to help him with the words to the song "Bitter-Sweet". Although not credited for their photos they are credited on the lyric sheet for their German translation work.

The cover image was considered controversial in some countries such as the United States, Spain, and The Netherlands, where it was censored for release. As a result, a later American LP release of Country Life (available during the years 1975-80) featured a different cover shot. Instead of Karoli and Grunwald posed in front of some trees, the reissue used a photo from the album's back cover that featured only the trees.[3] Author Michael Ochs has described the result as the "most complete cover-up in rock history", most only have the green vegetation background.

Kyla.. I don't believe this! I remember buying this album in 1975 with this cover, probably with my first wage packet. My mother thought the cover was hilarious! The vinyl album, together with many, many more is still upstairs untouched for years. Roxy Music were an excellent band at the time and this album, together with their first three albums were quite ground breaking , up there with David Bowie and Lou Reed, the type of music that many of us schoolkids were big into. This album featured the single 'All I Want is You' together with 'Out of the Blue' which featured in their live sets for many years after it' release. Certainly did not expect to see Roxy Music featuring in ND but while were on the subject ... still reckon that thier first album in 1972 'Roxy Music'is one of the best debut albums that I have heard.. still sounds great and was ground breaking at the time and featured Brian Eno who departed after their second album. If you like this cover you must surely like the covers`on both 'Roxy Music' and 'For Your Pleasure' which were less controversial and considered more 'artistic'. Now there'e a thread- best Roxy Music Album Cover! Surely not on this website!!
I'm a big fan of all the Roxy Music albums and their covers. I have collected most of them by now. I went on to explore Eno fairly fully also and Here Come the Warm Jets is another of my all time favorite records that remains timeless to this day. I love to turn my hipper than thou indie rock friends on to that one!
Spot on. 'Baby's On Fire' and 'Blank Frank' from HCTWJ's still sound great, while he was still in his angry and experimental mood. Classic album and also a lovely cover. another school memory!
The last - only - time I saw Eno he got up from the audience to join Daniel Lanois at the Festival Hall for an encore of You Don't Miss Your Water; the same one as on Sweetheart of The Rodeo which I think nicely puts the whatever that is back into ND.

BTW I always thought the title for the 4th Roxy album was a Shakespearean pun but probably too oblique for the 70s censors.
funny how the times change. and now pop star Rhianna's new album cover practically puts this one to shame.

but then again the world does have a funny issue with actually seeing nipples. I think this one could have been cool if they lost the big metalic 'R'
I'd have to go with William S. Harvey's covers for Elektra - 'Bleecker & MacDougal' by Fred Neil being just one example.
Sooooo many...

Meshell Ndegeocello's Bitter (also a favorite album of mine)

Sly Stone's Small Talk

Prince's Sign o' The Times

Miles Davis' Big Fun

Loving this new one from Sting... it's all about the picture really.
Dire Straits - Alchemy

The Mats' "Let It Be" is a good choice. Another fave is NRBQ's "At Yankee Stadium", which features the boys sitting in the stands at Yankee Stadium (not a stadium concert, of course). And, it may just be my fave rock 'n roll record of all time.
