I don't remember ever seeing a performer sneeze, but I did witness this: A few years back when Dolly Parton played Merlefest she'd started a song, sang part of the first verse, then abruptly quit singing. She had a funny look on her face as she stopped the backing musicians then chirped, "I swallowed a bug!" After a couple of minutes of coughing and some water (and some carrying on about swallowing a bug!) she started the song over and finished it in fine style.
Yes, oddly enough, swallowing bugs is much more common than sneezing. I myself witnessed Kate Rusby swallow a moth, and a friend saw Joan Baez freak out a few years ago over a bug swallow incident. Hmmm... all women... Maybe guys just like eating bugs and don't care...
