Did you ever think what songs you wanted played at your funeral?

That's actually a great question.  Last year in October I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Before I found out more about it and learned it was not a death sentence (in December I had robotic prostate removal at Emory Hospital in Atlanta), I actually did think about my funeral.  I went so far as to jot down Kris Kristofferson's "Why Me, Lord," the title of one of my originals: "Worthy of the Nail Scars," and I planned to have a video of me playing with my then 2-year-old grandson, set to Randy Neuman's "You've Got a Friend in Me" because he loves to sing it.

PS: Since surgery, my PSA has been "undetectable."

That is great news about your fortunate recovery. Best Wishes for continued health and lots of singing with your little grandson.

It is a question we all ponder, how do you choose something that captures your  unique qualities and at the same time gives others the best possible perspective of your life?  What really means so much to us might elude those that will attend the service.  But hey it is our LAST decision so lets go with it.........lets face it there are alot of options out there, I like Ron Sexsmiths " Thinly Veiled Disguise"........I also like Neil Youngs not so well known One of these Days". I reckon people who are religious have more choices, I am a skeptic, a secular humanists, that narrows it down a bit....

Great minds think alike!
