Amber alert !!! David & Gillian are missing
This year's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival was superfine and poignant as ever. It wasn't even sad that Warren, Doc, and Earl were not visible. There was certainly a reverent vibe that was almost palpable, even without the tributes. It's always an affirmation of the continuing hope for humankind that 100,000 or so people can get together in a crowded environment and behave civilly toward one another. Just one thing seemed inexplicably absent. Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. There isn't even a mention of what they are up to on their websites. I'm jonesing for something new from them, and fervently hoping that they are both well. You gotta respect their privacy, but if anyone has any good news, sightings, or anything positive to report, I'd bet my last capo that I'm not the only one interested that reads No Depression. TIA.

Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings stopped by Mass St Music today to visit Boss Jim - headed home to Nashville to vote!
