Two of the most lauded female singer-songwriters in music. Eleni Mandell's talents--a mixture of sultry torch songs and and powerpop--often have her compared to Chrissie Hynde and called a moden day chanteuse. Ana Egge earned her folk music cred not only by playing a guitar she built with her own hands but with a 17-year career of beautiful songs crafted from personal lyrics and simple, moving melodies.

Ana Egge: http://anaegge.com/
Seemingly a wild and restless traveler, statuesque blonde Ana Egge not only looks fearless but often sounds fearless, an interesting paradox of a young, adventurous songwriter combined with a woman who performs with a maturity beyond her 30-something years. Her appealingly rich vocal and intimate lyrical craft is somewhat akin to Joan Armatrading, or, as astutely suggested by Lucinda Williams, what Nina Simone might have sounded like if she had been handed a steel guitar.

The first record Eleni ever got was Shaun Cassidy's greatest hits, for her 4th birthday. The first record she ever bought was X's Under the Big Black Sun. She bought it at Aron's records when it was located on Melrose Ave. John Doe (of X) was shopping and gave her his autograph, which she still has. It reads "Yours with a big X- John Doe". Her father took her to two memorable shows when she was a teenager: Albert King and Doc Watson

Ernest Troost: http://ernesttroost.com/
His evocative songwriting style combines folk and Piedmont blues style guitar picking with timeless stories and colorful character portrayals drawn from the American past and present.

"Troost's style and subject matter recall Dylan, Dave Alvin, and (especially for his concentration on life's darker side) Richard Thompson--enviable company indeed. Such comparisons are not lightly made: Every song here is a keeper." --Tom Hyslop, Blues Revue Magazine

Bill Bourne: http://billbourne.com/
A multiple Canadian Juno Award win.ner, Bill has received international acclaim for his recordings and live performances. A mainstay on the international roots scene, life on the road is reflected in Bill's music - powerful rhythms and soulful songs, steeped in World Beat, Blues, Cajun, Celtic, Folk, Flamenco, Funk, Poetry and more...

"Bourne flows with this almost indescribable soul infused with a lonesome strain of blues... This man was put on this earth to play music." - Crossroads Magazine
